Color Block: A Montage of Murals
There are some new murals in our neck of the region all thanks to Color Block! Color Block is a program that is funded by the Eau Claire Sculpture Tour that aims to reinforce the accessibility to art in our city as well as revitalize neglected parts of our area. In the past, you could expect to find Color Block murals on the 600 block of South Barstow and Grand Ave and in the alleyway behind SHIFT Cyclery and Coffee Bar. Now, the program has expanded all the way into Altoona, WI! The Altoona Public Library and the Eau Claire County Shop building have some new art on their walls. National Cheese Curd Day!
Wisconsinites rejoice... October 15th is National Cheese Curd Day! Don't get us wrong - any day is a good day for cheese curds in our state, but they'll taste even better if you're eating them on the national holiday! Burgers for Boobs
Did you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month? To support those who have battled breast cancer and those who have survived, Northern Tap House is hosting its annual Burgers for Boobs event on October 19, 2022. Come on down for lunch and dinner and order a burger to show your support! $5 from every burger sold will be donated along with 100% of the tips that the staff earn on this night. Mark your calendars and don't plan on cooking dinner on this night!
